Meet: Charlotte Gortler

Charlotte began sewing as a child, making dolls clothes with her Grandma and joining in with her Mum when she took up cross stitch as her new hobby.

With a background in interior design, she started embroidering when she wanted to create some pieces for her two sisters new babies, both due this winter. She completely fell in love with the process and Blossom & Bramble was born!

Charlotte is most inspired by nature. She's always had a penchant for all things floral, every school book she ever had was filled with doodles of flowers, rainbows and love hearts.

She lives on a little farm in Nottinghamshire and typically makes her creations with the fire going, while sitting in her favourite sewing spot by the window with a cup of tea. 

"I love to use bright colours, bold stripes and beautiful florals in my work. All things which spark joy for me personally and which I hope bring a little bit of joy to the person they are made for. The handmade and personalised nature of my items means that they make great gifts and hopefully become treasured keepsakes. I love that they might be remembered by the children that they are made for for a long time to come."
